Dear Players and Families:


We are thrilled to extend an invitation to all interested and talented hockey players to join us for tryouts for the Fall 2024 Rock City Hockey U16 and U18 Pre-Season teams.

For those not familiar with what Pre-Season hockey is and why players would participate We can best explain it as the time period where youth players generally would participate in the CSHL Pre-Season. As youth players most teams begin getting started in late August or earlier and will play until mid-late March. In High school hockey players often do not begin playing or practcing regularly until late October or early November. The “Pre” part of Pre/Post hockey is the bridge to start training as they are accustomed to in August and begin training for the upcoming regular season.

The Rock City program offers a fantastic opportunity for players to further develop their skills, compete at a high level, and be a part of a supportive and dedicated team environment. Whether you’re seeking to challenge yourself competitively, aspire to play at higher levels, or simply love the game of hockey, we welcome you to join us for tryouts.

Dates: Friday May 10- 7:20-8:20pmSaturday May 11- 1:10-2:10pmLocation: Gilmour Ice Arena, 2045 SOM Ctr Rd, Gates Mills, OH 44040Age Group: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 Birth Year Players

Cost for Tryouts:
$ 50.00 per player.  This helps us cover costs associated with administrative and ice costs for the tryout.

Tryout Sessions:
Players are encouraged to attend both sessions to showcase their skills and potential.

What to Bring:
Full hockey gearWater bottlePositive attitude and competitive spirit

We will have jerseys for players to wear during the tryouts.


Registration:

Can’t Make It?
If you’re unable to attend tryouts due to scheduling conflicts or other reasons, please reach out to us directly to discuss alternative arrangements.

Pre/Post hockey offers players an excellent opportunity to further prepare and stay sharp for their regular season teams. 

Joining the Rock City Hockey program not only offers opportunities for personal and athletic growth but also fosters camaraderie and unforgettable experiences on and off the ice. For players making the transition from Bantams to High School Pre/Post further provides players to make on of the largest transitions of their careers,  For players who hope to play hockey after High School Pre/Post hockey provides extra ice and training opportunities normally associated with AAA, non-high school competition.
